Glimpses of the Varsha Sahal at Spiritual Village on 21st July 2019. Varsha Sahal is a unique and beautiful technique Sadguruji introduced to help participants experience oneness with Mother Nature. The group was large and everyone was in high energy level. H.H. Sadguru Yogiraj Dr. Mangeshda gave a divine touch to the serene atmosphere. He briefed the participants about the Spiritual village from its inception and how slowly it took the present shape over time. All of them contributed to plantation. Different types of saplings were planted under the guidance of Sadguruji. People of all age groups were there: from a small child to senior citizens. All of them enjoyed this event very much.

Then came the much expected rain God with thick dark cloud bringing good rain. Participants went into a state of extreme happiness by singing and dancing in the rain. One has to really get drenched in this rain to experience the happiness of becoming one with the water element. The parting showers of almost 45 minutes and the rain meditation - it was a beautiful feeling of oneness and being in the flow....! Amazing.

On 20th Dec 2014, Param Pujya Sadguru Yogiraj Sri Sri Mangeshda carried out one of it's many ongoing rallies on Cleanliness Awareness Drive, in Chembur, Mumbai. Sadguruji himself led the rally. Hundreds of school children, teachers, volunteers, prominent Doctors, senior citizens, Police, BMC staff and people from all walks of life participated in this rally.

Sadguruji stated that he fully endorsed and supported our Prime Minister's campaign of 'Swachchha Bharat Abhiyan' and exhorted the citizens to come out in large numbers and contribute in this noble cause. He informed all those present that we all need to take pride in our city, our country and not just keep it spic and span but also ensure that we should stop others spoiling, dirtying our Mother Earth.

Sadguruji said that while the Municipal Authorities clean our cities in the morning, it is our moral duty to ensure that our locality, city remains clean throughout the day. Sickness, health hazards, costs to the exchequer etc are the loss to our nation as a result of lack of hygiene and civic sense whereas a clean India will not only attract tourists from across the globe thereby earning valuable foreign exchange but it will ensure that all our citizens are healthy and take pride of our Country.

Chembur was choosen since it was from here in 2008 that Sadguruji led the campaign "Cleanliness Awareness Drive from Mumbai to Manasarovar", where the Foundation removed a tonne of garbage from the banks of the holy river Manasarovar.

On the 20th, the entire stretch from Diamond Garden to Ambedkar Garden was buzzing with excitement as hundreds of school children (from three year old onwards) to the senior citizens (well into their eighties) were holding banners of the Foundation, placards with various social, civic sense messages and educating people to not just keep their house clean but also their surroundings, city and our country clean. Lots of locals joined the rally in support of this noble cause and have promised to spread the message.

Sadguruji always says that the children are the future of India hence he always encourages and involves them in such rallies. Moreover it is easy to mould the young minds. If they inculcate these habits now, they will never ever dirty their surroundings. They will grow up and become responsible citizens of India and make our country proud.

At the end of the campaign, all the schools were awarded a special certificate at the hands of revered Sadguruji as a token of appreciation for their active participation in this campaign.

As a footnote, the Foundation is receiving many invitations to carry out such Cleanliness Awareness Campaign from various parts of the country.

Summarization of event by Kriyaban Shri Hrishikesh Ambaye

When was the last time you DELIBERATELY got wet in rains? When was the last time you did any tree plantation or played in the mud? Many would answer "In my child hood or 15 years back or I never did it. Main beemar padunga to ??" But all these things we actually did in our Foundation's Annual Varsha Sahal.

What a wonderful day it was!! A varsha sahal in the true sense! It was raining all day through... and one could not have asked for more. Rains, lush green surroundings, a walk in the pouring rains, rain dance, couple dance, plantation, shramdaan, meditation on the bank of a river, Baarish aur pakoude, Antakshari, anecdotes.. and to top it all, a wonderful, wonderful rain meditation. Thank You Guruji for all this!

It's a once in a year event... the Varsha Sahal! And our Village carries a very different out of the world look in monsoon. I am sure all those present would agree to this. The few pictures posted will give you some idea as to what we 'experienced'!

Thank You Guruji for arranging this special event from Your busy schedule. Many participants felt that they were back to their school days. A few said that they have been coming for the Varsha Sahal for past few years, but the amount of rain that they experienced yesterday was just amazing. The Superlative meditation sessions conducted by Guruji were truly awesome.

People from many parts of India as well as from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Indonesia and from many other places had come especially for this event. And they had an amazing time. Everybody was totally recharged and rejuvenated.

Sadguruji also inaugurated a few of the new row houses which are now ready for staying with all amenities. Each and every time we visit the village, we experience a new development.

I may go on & write many things, but the experience which everybody had, cannot be put in words. Sadguruji has His own way of teaching in each and every session and yesterday was no different.

Technology helps a lot. Many of the family members had captured these special moments in their camera or cell phone. And when they will share it, watching those photos itself would give so much of happiness & joy. Jai Ho!

Parting is always tough & difficult. And exactly these were the feelings of everybody when they left from OUR SPIRITUAL VILLAGE. The journey started back from 'greenery and divinity' to the concrete jungle... but be assured... everyone carried back ample of colour green in their hearts and lots and lots of sweet and joyous memories blessed by Him.
