Janmashtami Mahasatsang 2025
Glimpses of the Janmashtami Mahasatsang, on 15th Aug 2025, Mumbai, in the divine presence of HH Sadguru Yogiraj Dr. Mangeshda.
The sacred occasion of Janmashtami was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion by all of us. The evening was a superb mixture of spirituality, art and His wisdom, creating an atmosphere of blissful celebration dedicated to Lord Krishna. This day was a Triveni Sangam of our Independence Day, Parsi New Year and Janmashtami.
The program commenced with melodious bhajans, followed by soulful instrumental performances on the flute, tabla and guitar — with the flute reminding everyone of Krishna’s eternal music. Graceful dance recitals by Foundation members added vibrancy and devotional energy to the evening.
Sadguruji felicitated Dr. Kokal as the Best Kriyaban, acknowledging his sincere dedication. The gathering also witnessed the gracious presence of members from the Interfaith Solidarity Council, representing diverse religions, who admired or Sadguruji’s work and echoed the universal message of unity and harmony. Sadguruji felicitated all the guests and also Police Inspector, Shri Pradip Kelkar, for his selfless service to the society.
The highlight of this Mahasatsang was Sadguru Dr. Mangeshda ji's Amrutwani. Some of the takeaways of were:
- The need for both inlet and outlet in life and the importance of true friendships, exemplified by the bond between Krishna and Sudama. He started his speech with this point and concluded with the same. A big input for all of us.
- The significance of reading the Bhagavad Geeta and Dnyaneshwari: “Gita tells us what to do and Dnyaneshwari tells us how to do it.”
- That knowledge with ego is poisonous, but knowledge with humility becomes nectar.
- Lessons from the life of Sant Dnyaneshwar, stressing that the mind is like water and that we reap as we sow. It’s up to us as to how we channelize our energy, thoughts & even anger.
- Through the stories of Krishna’s flute, of Satyabhama and Rukmini and even the tale of the peacock, Sadguruji gently guided us towards surrender, warning us not to over-analyse even God, but instead to open our hearts with faith. (Shraddha - Saburi - Samarpan).
The satsang concluded with a collective chanting of “Shri Krishnam Sharanam Mamm”, accompanied by the offering of Tulsi, filling every heart with serenity and devotion.
The evening was not just a celebration, but a profound spiritual experience — one that beautifully blended devotion, wisdom and the eternal message of Lord Krishna. Thank You Dear Sadguruji for this special evening. Words fall short to express our gratitude!️
A big applause to our MC – Smt. Hira ji, all our performers, volunteers, technical team and our sponsors.
